Ellie and Tyler // Jolly Harbour, Antigua
Well.
Ellie. And. Tyler.
What to say? Where to start?
When we were first asked to shoot for them out in Antigua back in 2019 I thought I was dreaming. I never in my wildest dreams thought we would be heading out to the Caribbean in only my first year of full time wedding photography.
But these two wonderful folks made that undreamed-dream come true and earlier this year we found ourselves living the beach life just a few short weeks after Christmas (and getting horribly burnt in the process… Brits eh?).
The Caribbean is a long way from Ellie’s English roots, so when we found out that Tyler was American, and that they had met whilst working on cruises out in the region, it all started to make a lot more sense.
It’s impossible to look through these images and not see the dancing blood that flows through Ellie. All day and in everything she did there was always a pointed toe, and a poise about her that was impossible to overlook. Although Tyler might not have had quite the same moves on the dancefloor… (albeit his frontflip into the pool was pretty graceful!) it was great to see how two people could so perfectly compliment each other as partners.
Watching Tyler among friends and family running the ‘beach Olympics’ on the day prior (including beer cup flip race, doggy paddle relay, and kayak…thing?) showed exactly why he’s a brilliant person to hang around with. Despite only knowing them for a short week, there are some incredible memories that we are taking away, and I’m sure we’ll be seeing them again at some point!
Take a look through the shots below - they aren’t in any particular order - some are from our pre-wedding couple’s shoot at Shirley Heights, some from the Olympics, and some from the wedding itself. You’ll have to forgive me for the number… but it effectively covers 3 whole days of action!
