All Saints Church, Sandon Covid-19 Wedding // Charlie and George
Plan for 130, change plans to 30, change plans to 15, Charlie and George had done it all. We were all set for our first post-lockdown wedding and getting more nervous and excited every day! Then, with only 48hrs notice, C+G were able to have 30 guests all over again! In their words, possibly the most stressful 48hrs of this year, but with their family to support them (not to mention a beautiful family home to host them) they pulled off a small, beautiful and emotional day.
The excitement in the morning was contagious and once we arrived at the gorgeous All Saints Church in Sandon, we were as happy as any person there that we were watching these two finally tie the knot.
After the ceremony, everyone headed back to Charlie’s childhood home for a delicious home-cooked sit-down meal complete with a vast array of deserts. I couldn’t tell you which was the best but boy did they get devoured. And a special surprise set up by George finished the night off with a bang.
At a time when large gatherings, big parties and pull-the-stops-out celebrations were being cautioned against and cancelled across the country, this wedding was filled with love and laughter and it was the perfect way to leap out of lockdown.
