Painswick Rococo Gardens Wedding, Cotswolds // Nat and Phil

When Nat and Phil first got in touch to shoot for them down in Cheltenham’s Painswick Rococo Gardens it was always going to be a yes! Firstly, we love a unique wedding, and secondly Nat is one of my oldest mates!

Nat and Phil are such fun to be around, and have such a loving and supportive group of mates that it was always going to be a lovely day - not to mention that many of their guests are friendly faces for both myself and Abigail from back in University days.

The day was always going to be a relaxed affair, with the ceremony set to be outdoors in the Painswick Gardens. When we arrived however, it was…. more than a little rainy. The taxi that brought the girls was in a bit of a rush and decided to leave right after dropping them off, so Nat and her bridesmaids were left standing out in the rain until they were able to bundle into my car and wait until everyone was in place for their arrival!!!

Fortunately Nat and Phil had planned well and warned their guests to bring umberellas and wellies for the morning, so we were treated to a most unusual arrival shot as Nat walked with her dad up the hill toward Phil who was stood at the top under a big white umbrella.

Once the ceremony was finished the drizzle started to abate, and we were able to take some lovely couple’s shots around the gardens before heading into Cheltenham to the old Courthouse Pub for the reception. The pub is super quirky and set up with all the old juror stalls as tables which added a really unique setting to the end of the day.

Speeches, food, and cake cutting complete, we moved onto the party which was absolutely awesome - big dancing and so much energy from a group of friends that hadn’t seen each other in absolutely ages!
Once the music had to stop at the Courthouse, we disembarked over to a cool bar in the heart of Cheltenham called Gin and Juice for some after party drinks!
