Rolling hills, warm stone, and sunsets to die for.
We have been lucky enough to call this work.

Tuscany does not need much help. The landscape does the heavy lifting — the cypress-lined roads, the terracotta rooftops, the light that settles over the hills in the early evening and turns everything amber. It is one of those places where the photographs almost make themselves, and our job is simply to stay out of the way and let it happen.

What draws couples here is the combination of beauty and history. The venues in this part of Italy — often historic villas and estates within reach of Florence — come with centuries of character built in. There are frescoed hallways, central courtyards, terraces with views that stretch for miles. The food and wine are delicious. What more could you want?

We recently shot at Villa Medicea di Lilliano, a historic estate just outside Florence, and it remains one of the most beautiful venues we have worked at anywhere in Europe. The road leading up to the villa, the courtyard with its ancient trees, the arched hallway with its painted frescoes, the reception space — every part of it gives you something different to work with photographically, and you can just about make out Florence in the distance from the grounds. The light here in August is extraordinary: warm, directional, and generous well into the evening.

Tuscany suits couples who want a celebration with real substance to it. A place steeped in culture... in addition to the beautiful backdrop.

It started in Florence. The day before the wedding, we met Sonum and Fede in the city — walking through plans, getting a feel for each other — before the evening drew everyone up to the villa for the first of three celebrations. Live music from the terrace, the first mixing of two very different sets of guests, and that particular energy that comes at the start of a multi-day wedding when everyone present knows something special is about to happen.

And then the lightning came...

Working in Tuscany

We arrive before the wedding. For every destination we work in, we build in time to scout properly — to understand the light at different times of day, to find the corners of the venue that reward patience, and to be ready when the day begins rather than still navigating it.

Multi-day celebrations like Sonum and Fede's are something we are very comfortable with, and Tuscany lends itself to them particularly well. The venues here have the space and the character to sustain three days of events without any of it feeling repetitive. Each part of the celebration gets its own atmosphere, its own light, its own energy.

Florence is a couple of hours flight from London, and the region is well-served by international connections, which makes it one of the more straightforward European destinations for UK couples and their guests. If you are in the early stages of planning a Tuscany wedding and would like any guidance on venues, timings, or what to expect, we are happy to talk through the practicalities.

sonum & Fede

We just wanted to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for doing such an amazing job capturing such incredible photos! All our feelings of the excitement of the wedding started coming back as we went through them. All the small and big moments were captured perfectly - I’m not sure how you both managed to cover so much ground 😅 🏃‍♀️

Honestly, thank you so much for giving us such a beautiful way to remember a milestones in our lives. You guys are the best ❤️

FAQs

Do you travel to Tuscany for weddings?

Yes — we have shot at Villa Medicea di Lilliano outside Florence and are very open to working at other venues across the region. Travel is costed into your destination package quote and we are happy to discuss logistics as part of an initial conversation.

Do you shoot multi-day wedding celebrations?

Yes, and it is something we genuinely enjoy. Multi-day celebrations give us time to document the full arc of the event — the anticipation of day one, the ceremony at the heart of it, and the party that closes everything out. If you are planning something across two or more days, we would love to hear about it.

Can you cover ceremonies from different cultural traditions?

Absolutely. We have documented Hindu ceremonies, handfasting, civil ceremonies, and celebrations that blend multiple traditions within the same event. Our approach is documentary — we follow what is happening rather than directing it — which means we are equally comfortable regardless of the form the ceremony takes.

When is the best time of year to get married in Tuscany?

Late spring (May and June) and early autumn (September and October) are generally considered the most reliable windows — warm, dry, and with softer light than the height of summer. August is popular but can be very hot, and afternoon thunderstorms are not uncommon. That said, as Sonum and Fede's wedding demonstrated, the weather can add rather than subtract from the day.

How far in advance should we book?

For destination weddings we recommend getting in touch as early as possible — ideally 12 to 18 months ahead. Popular venues in Tuscany book up well in advance, and early contact gives us the time to plan travel properly alongside you.

What does a Tuscany wedding photography package cost?

Our destination wedding photography starts from £4,500. Every package is shaped around the specific day and what you need from coverage, so get in touch and we will put something together for you.

If you are planning a wedding in Tuscany and would like to talk about coverage, we would love to hear from you. Tell us about your day and we will be back to you properly.
