Georgina and Charlie celebrated their marquee wedding at Charlie’s family farm, filling the day with personal touches and a few unconventional moments along the way. Hosting the celebration at home gave them the freedom to plan with intention, shaping a day that felt considered, relaxed, and quietly elevated, with space for real emotion, movement, and fun. The ceremony took place on the front lawn, with the reception and party just over the driveway in a beautiful sail marquee.
If you’re planning an intentional marquee wedding celebration – at home or further afield – and would like to chat about our approach to documenting it, we’d love to hear from you.

The Setting
The day unfolded entirely around home. From an outdoor ceremony beneath the dappled light of an old oak tree, to a classic pole marquee set in the neighbouring field, everything felt rooted in place. The marquee was styled with foliage gathered from the surrounding woodland, DIY florals, and thoughtful design details that complemented the landscape rather than competing with it.

Bridal Preparations
The morning began in a calm, unhurried way, with space to settle into the day. Hair and makeup were led by Nadia Wyatt, whose presence brought a sense of ease and reassurance, allowing the preparations to feel relaxed rather than rushed. It was a gentle, grounding start – time shared with close family, small conversations, and moments of quiet anticipation.

The Dress
Georgina wore a beautifully understated Vera Wang gown, chosen for its clean lines, simplicity, and timeless feel. The fabric and silhouette felt bridal without feeling performative, allowing her to move easily and feel entirely herself. Personal details mattered most – a pearl necklace passed down from her mother added quiet emotional weight, carrying family connection through the day in a way that felt intimate and intentional.

The Ceremony
Guests arrived via vintage Land Rovers driven by family members, setting a playful, welcoming tone. The ceremony was led by Charlie’s brother and struck a beautiful balance between tradition and personality, weaving together meaningful readings, shared cocktail-making, live acoustic music, and moments of humour. The atmosphere was relaxed, emotional, and unmistakably personal.

The Celebration
The day itself was built with the help of friends and family, from a handmade bar constructed in the lead-up to the wedding to a cake baked by Charlie’s grandmother. After dinner, the energy shifted with a gloriously chaotic game of pass the parcel, bringing laughter, movement, and a sense of togetherness that carried everyone straight into the evening celebrations.

Atmosphere & Feel
Everything unfolded at an unforced pace, centred on connection rather than performance. Shared moments, live music, and small personal rituals shaped a celebration that felt warm, joyful, and entirely their own – proof that when a wedding is planned with intention, the feeling carries far beyond the details.
